Masterchannel Pricing for Studios vs a $10 Unlimited Plan: Does Volume Change the Maths?

Start with what Masterchannel lists today

At the time of writing (October 2026), Masterchannel’s pricing page shows three plans: Artist at $15 a month (shown as $180 billed yearly), Professional at $19 a month ($228 a year) and Partner at $79 a month ($948 a year). The page describes Partner as for labels and studios with high volume, with account sharing for multiple users and the option to create your own mastering service through white-labelling.

Older Masterchannel material quotes ranges like $15 to $25 for Artist, so confirm the current monthly versus yearly billing and the exact tier contents on the page before you commit. Masterchannel also powers the mastering at Ditto, where a master is $5 a download. If you only want to hear what an automatic master does to your track, Loopin’s free previews cost nothing and need no account.

Put the two flat fees side by side

Loopin Mastering Unlimited is $10 a month or $59 a year; check the pricing page for your region. Against Partner’s $79 a month, that is about 7.9 times cheaper per month, and $59 against $948 a year is about 16 times.

At 40 masters a month, Partner works out at about $1.98 each and Loopin monthly at $0.25. At 10, it is $7.90 against $1.00. The gap in ratio never moves, because both fees stay the same however many tracks go through.

Ask whether you are buying volume or features

Masterchannel’s Professional plan is listed at $19 and Artist at $15, so a solo producer with high volume does not need Partner for the volume. You would pay $79 for the extras: several users on one account and a white-label option so you can run a mastering service under your own brand.

Loopin is single-user and has no white-label. If your studio has three engineers who share logins, or you want to resell mastering under your name, Partner does something Loopin does not. If you are a solo producer mastering 20 tracks a month for clients, the extra $60 buys you nothing you use.

Check the limits that price cannot show

Loopin masters one stereo mixdown at a time, with no batch or album mode and no stems. It exports a 16-bit WAV at about −14 LUFS with a −1 dBTP ceiling, with Punchy near −11, Club near −10 and Cinematic near −16. The Masterchannel page lists the ability to change master resolution for different platforms on its Professional tier, which Loopin does not do.

Mastering and previews on Loopin are free and unlimited, with downloads capped at 1 per rolling 24 hours with no account and 2 with a free account. For client work, preview the track free and let the client hear it before you pay for anything.

Run this ten-minute test before you buy either

Take one real client track. Master it on Loopin and on a free Masterchannel preview, level-match the two by ear and ask whoever will pay for it which they prefer. If the answer is not obvious, take the cheaper one.

If you do pick a bigger plan, pick it for a feature you have written down, such as shared seats. For volume alone, the cost per master on a flat plan is already low. For the $5 per-download route that uses the same engine, read our Ditto mastering review.
