Mastering 10+ Tracks a Month: What Each Master Really Costs (2026)

Use these four prices, checked this month

At the time of writing (October 2026): Ditto lists $5 per mastered track with a free full-length preview. eMastered’s help centre lists $39 a month, $19 a month on a 12-month term, or $156 upfront for the year. Loopin Mastering Unlimited is $10 a month or $59 a year. Plans can vary by region, so check each pricing page.

LANDR and Masterchannel are left out of the table because I could not match a single current price across their sources. If you use them, take the figure from their own pricing page and divide it by your volume, as below.

Divide the price by your real monthly volume

Per master, using the figures above: 10 a month is $5.00 on Ditto, $3.90 on eMastered monthly, $1.90 on its 12-month plan, $1.30 on its upfront plan, $1.00 on Loopin monthly and about $0.49 on Loopin annual.

20 a month halves each subscription (Ditto stays $5, so $100). 50 a month is $250 on Ditto, $0.78 on eMastered monthly, $0.26 on its upfront plan, $0.20 on Loopin monthly and about $0.10 on Loopin annual. Unlimited plans are flat, so each extra master is free.

Count your time, because the price is not the bottleneck

At $0.50 a master, the money is a rounding error. The real cost is the minutes: uploading, listening, comparing, exporting, naming and sending. Budget 5 to 10 minutes per track for a quick check and you have used up 50 to 100 minutes on a ten-track month.

Price your service on time, not on the tool. If you charge $20 a track and your tool costs $1, the margin is yours; the work you are being paid for is the listening. See how much to charge for mastering for the pricing side. A useful rule: if a client pays you per track, put the tool cost in as a fixed 10 percent of your fee at most, and raise your price before you hunt for a cheaper plan.

Check what the cheap plan will not do for you

Loopin’s instant online mastering takes a stereo mixdown, one track at a time, and exports a 16-bit WAV at about −14 LUFS with a −1 dBTP ceiling. There is no batch or album mode, no stem upload and no 24-bit export. Other tools may include extras Loopin does not, so compare what each plan includes, not just the price.

If your clients need 24-bit files, stems or a human ear on the sequencing, the cheap tool is the wrong tool for that job. Use it as the first pass and a reference, then send the important releases to an engineer.

Know when free is enough

Loopin’s mastering and previews are free and unlimited. Downloads are capped at 1 per rolling 24 hours with no account, and 2 with a free account, so a handful of masters a month costs nothing if you can spread them out. BandLab is also free with an account.

At 10 masters a month, the cap means about 5 days of downloads. That works for your own catalogue, but not for a client who wants the EP tomorrow. Master the track free to preview first, then decide whether a plan is worth it.

Pick the plan by the busiest week

Average volume lies. Ten masters spread across the month is easy; ten masters in one week is where a cap or a per-track fee hurts. Look at your busiest week in the last three months and choose the plan that covers it.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to master 10 songs a month?

At the time of writing (October 2026), $50 at $5 a track on Ditto, about $19 on eMastered's 12-month plan, and $10 on Loopin Mastering Unlimited, which is $1 a master.

Is unlimited mastering worth it for 20 tracks a month?

Yes, on price. 20 tracks at $5 is $100, while a $10 unlimited plan works out to $0.50 a master. Check each plan's download limits and file formats first.

What is the cheapest way to master many tracks?

A flat-fee unlimited plan, or free tools with download caps. Loopin is $10 a month or $59 a year; BandLab mastering is free with an account.

Does Loopin have a batch mode?

No. Loopin masters one stereo mixdown at a time, so a 12-track project means 12 separate runs.

Do cheaper masters sound worse?

Not by price alone. Automatic mastering is a fast first pass and cannot fix a bad mix, so use it as a preview or reference for important client work and send those releases to an engineer.
