Loopin — Terms of Use

Welcome to Loopin. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Loopin iOS application and any related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by the Loopin team ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Loopin, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Loopin is an iOS application for songwriting and music project management. It lets you import audio, capture takes, write lyrics and notes, organize song versions, track project status, and export teaser clips and library backups. The Service includes:

2. Eligibility

To use the Service you must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher. By using Loopin you represent that you meet this requirement. The Service is not intended for users under the applicable minimum age.

3. No Account Required

Loopin does not require you to create an account or sign in. The optional sync feature uses your Apple ID through CloudKit; in that case, Apple — not Loopin — manages your identity. We never receive, store, or have access to your Apple ID credentials.

4. Your Content

Anything you create, import, record, or store in Loopin — including audio files, lyrics, notes, song titles, recordings, takes, versions, custom cover art, and project metadata — is your content ("Your Content"). You retain all ownership rights in Your Content.

Loopin stores Your Content locally on your device. If you opt into sync, it is uploaded to your private iCloud container, where Apple holds it on your behalf. Loopin does not access, transmit, sell, share, or use Your Content for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to use any audio, samples, beats, lyrics, images, or other materials you bring into Loopin. You agree not to use the Service to create or store content that infringes the rights of any third party.

Separating audio (stem splitting). Tools such as the free stem splitter process a file on your device and produce separated parts (for example vocals, drums and bass). Separating a recording does not give you any rights in it. The recording, the composition and any samples in it remain the property of their owners, and you may only split, download, share or release audio that you own or have permission to use for that purpose. You are responsible for how you use the separated parts.

5. License to Use Loopin

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Loopin on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business use. The App Store's standard "Licensed Application End User License Agreement" also applies and is incorporated by reference.

6. Loopin Pro: Subscriptions and Purchases (iOS app)

This section applies only to Loopin Pro, bought inside the Loopin iOS app through Apple. Purchases of Loopin Mastering on the web, including its Day Pass and Lifetime, are covered by section 7A and section 7B, not by this section.

Pricing

Loopin Pro is offered as an annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current pricing is displayed inside the app at the point of purchase. Prices may vary by region and may change in the future; any price change will apply only to new purchases or to renewals after the change takes effect.

Auto-Renewing Subscriptions

The annual subscription automatically renews at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; Loopin Pro features remain available until then.

Lifetime Purchase (iOS app)

The Loopin Pro lifetime purchase in the iOS app grants ongoing access to Loopin Pro features for the lifetime of the app as a single, non-recurring transaction. "Lifetime" refers to the life of the Loopin app and the underlying platforms; it does not guarantee perpetual support if Loopin or the iOS platform is discontinued.

Payment, Refunds, and Free Trials

All purchases are processed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, and renewals are charged at the start of each new period. Loopin does not see your payment method, billing details, or any personal financial information.

Refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple under Apple's refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly. Any free trial, introductory offer, or promotional pricing is governed by the terms shown at the time of the offer; converting a trial to a paid plan happens automatically at the end of the trial unless cancelled.

Restoring Purchases

You can restore previous purchases at any time in the Loopin paywall screen. Restoration relies on Apple's StoreKit system and the same Apple ID that made the original purchase.

7. Free Tier

The Loopin iOS app's free tier includes everything needed to finish songs and is provided as-is. Free-tier limitations there — including the 20-song cap and limited styling options — may change over time as we tune the product. Existing free users will be given reasonable notice of any material reduction in free-tier functionality through the app.

The online mastering tool is separate and is free to use. Mastering, previewing, comparing and re-mastering a track are unlimited, with or without an account, and always have been — the processing runs in your own browser, so there is no per-track cost to meter. What is limited is how many mastered files you download:

These allowances are a product decision and may change; if we reduce them we will say so on the pricing page before it takes effect. Removing the download limit is what Loopin Mastering Unlimited is for (section 7A).

7A. Loopin Mastering Unlimited (web subscriptions)

Loopin Mastering Unlimited is a paid plan that removes the daily download limit on the online mastering tool. As a subscription it is billed monthly or yearly at the prices shown on the pricing page and in the checkout, in your local currency where one is available. It can also be bought as a one-time Day Pass or Lifetime purchase, which are covered by section 7B.

Tax. Prices are shown before tax. Any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies to you is worked out by Paddle from your location and added at checkout, and the checkout shows the total you will pay before you confirm. Your Paddle receipt shows the tax charged.

It does not change the master. The engine, the presets and the output format are identical to the free tier. You are paying for the number of finished files you can take away, not for a better-sounding result. We would rather say that plainly here than let anyone infer otherwise.

Who you are buying from. Every web purchase of Loopin Mastering (subscriptions, the Day Pass and Lifetime) is sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, handles applicable sales tax and VAT, issues your invoice, and processes refunds. Your statement will show Paddle. We do not see or store your card details.

Renewal and cancelling. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from Plan & billing in your account menu on the mastering tool, or from the link in any Paddle receipt; the cancellation is carried out through Paddle. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; unlimited downloads remain available until then, after which the account returns to the free allowance. Your account is never closed for cancelling. Payment details and invoices can be managed in Paddle's customer portal, linked from the same page.

Price changes. Any change applies only to new subscriptions or to renewals after the change takes effect. You will be told before a renewal at a new price.

Refunds. Subscriptions are non-refundable except in the limited cases set out in our Cancellation Policy. Any refund for a web purchase is issued through Paddle — the Apple refund process in section 6 applies only to the iOS app.

7B. Loopin Mastering Day Pass and Lifetime (web, one-time purchases)

The Day Pass and Lifetime are one-time purchases of Loopin Mastering Unlimited made on the web. Each is a single payment at the price shown on the pricing page and in the checkout, sold by Paddle as merchant of record on the same terms as section 7A (including tax, which is added at checkout). Each applies to the Loopin account that was signed in when it was bought and cannot be transferred to another account.

Day Pass. A Day Pass gives your account Loopin Mastering Unlimited for 24 hours, counted from when your payment is completed. It is a single payment: it does not renew, nothing further is charged, and there is nothing to cancel. When the 24 hours end, your account returns to the free allowance. A Day Pass is not added on top of an active subscription, Lifetime or another Day Pass. If you start a subscription while a Day Pass is running, the subscription takes over from that point.

Lifetime. Lifetime gives your account Loopin Mastering Unlimited for as long as we offer Loopin Mastering, for a single payment. It does not renew, nothing further is charged, and there is nothing to cancel. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the Loopin Mastering service, not your lifetime or any fixed number of years. It covers Loopin Mastering Unlimited as we offer it from time to time; like the rest of the Service, its features may change (section 11). If we decide to discontinue Loopin Mastering, we will give Lifetime holders reasonable advance notice by email to the address on the account and on this site, and Lifetime access ends when the service ends. Buying Lifetime does not by itself cancel a monthly or yearly subscription you already have; you can cancel that from Plan & billing as described in section 7A.

Refunds and chargebacks. Day Pass and Lifetime purchases are covered by our Cancellation Policy. If a Day Pass or Lifetime payment is refunded in full, or reversed through a chargeback, the access that payment gave ends.

8. Acceptable Use

When using Loopin you agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably determine you have breached these Terms or applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

The Loopin app, branding, logo, designs, source code, and all related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you except as explicitly stated.

The third-party fonts, libraries, and assets used in Loopin are licensed under their respective open-source or commercial licenses, available in the in-app credits or on request.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on services operated by third parties — primarily Apple (App Store, iCloud, CloudKit, StoreKit, AVFoundation). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.

If we add optional analytics (for example, TelemetryDeck) or other integrations, those will be described in our Privacy Policy, and you can disable them where reasonably possible.

11. Updates and Changes

We may release updates, bug fixes, and new versions of Loopin at any time. Some updates may add, modify, or remove features. Where reasonable, we will give notice of material changes before they take effect.

We may also change these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and surface a notice inside the app. Your continued use after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, your remedy is to stop using the Service and, where applicable, cancel any Loopin Pro subscription.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR OWN BACKUPS OF YOUR CONTENT. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DATA LOSS OR CORRUPTION CAUSED BY DEVICE FAILURE, OPERATING-SYSTEM UPDATES, ACCIDENTAL DELETION, OR THE FAILURE OF THIRD-PARTY SERVICES INCLUDING ICLOUD.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LOOPIN, ITS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF — OR INABILITY TO USE — THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US OR APPLE FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) US $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damages — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your breach of these Terms or any applicable law.

15. Termination

You may stop using Loopin at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, if continued provision becomes legally or technically impractical, or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to applicable consumer-protection laws, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in India. If you are a consumer in another jurisdiction, you may also have rights under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.

17. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any in-app disclosures, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

18. Who we are, and how to reach us

Loopin is operated as a sole proprietorship based in India by PROPRIETOR LEGAL NAME, trading as “Loopin”. These Terms are an agreement between you and that proprietor.
