RoEx Mastering Review 2026: Credits, Pro Plan and Stems Explained
Published · by Loopin
RoEx is strong when you have stems to mix; for a finished stereo beat you are mostly choosing between a $7.99 credit and a $24.99 Pro month. Here is where the line sits and how to test it for free.
Know what is free before you upload
At the time of writing (October 2026), RoEx’s help centre says you can preview for free, and everyone who signs up gets one free mix download credit. Mastering is the catch: the same page says mastering downloads need a paid credit or a Pro subscription, so the free credit does not cover a master.
Treat the preview as the product demo. Upload a stereo bounce (the help centre lists WAV or MP3, up to 10 minutes for mastering), listen, and decide before you spend anything.
Do the credit maths before you buy one
The help centre lists single downloads at $7.99. That is $7.99 for one master, $39.95 for five, $79.90 for ten. If a revision means a second master of the same beat, you are probably paying again, so finish the mix first and bounce once.
For a seller with a beat tape of eight tracks, credits are $63.92 before you have heard the next mix note. That is the point to price the alternatives, not after. Our October price comparison puts the common options side by side.
Find the Pro break-even point
RoEx’s help centre lists Automix Pro at $24.99 a month with unlimited downloads, and RoEx’s own 2026 pricing article adds a $149.99 yearly option. Its other pages have shown different Pro prices, so confirm on the upgrade page after you log in.
At $24.99 against $7.99 a credit, Pro wins from the fourth download in a month: three credits are $23.97, four are $31.96. Under three masters a month, credits are cheaper; over four, Pro is. Pro also unlocks reference-track mastering and DAW export, which only matter if you use them.
Be clear on what stems buy you
Stems are RoEx’s mixing lane: the help centre says Pro mixes up to 32 tracks (16 on the free plan) and can export processed stems. If you send artists a balanced mix from your trackouts, that is real value Loopin does not offer.
For mastering, a single stereo bounce is all it takes, and that is the same input Loopin uses. Loopin takes a stereo mixdown only; no stems, no batch mode. If your job is fixing the balance inside the mix, stems matter. If the mix is done, they do not.
Test it against a free master, level-matched
Bounce the finished beat with peaks near −6 dBFS and nothing heavy on the master bus. Preview it in RoEx, then run the same file through free online mastering and pick the feel that fits: Punchy for drums-forward trap, Warm for soul samples.
Turn the louder one down until both match, within about 0.5 dB, before you judge. Loopin’s Original-vs-Mastered switch is already matched; for RoEx you set it by ear. Check the kick, the vocal chop or lead, and the loudest drop, in that order.
Decide who should pay for what
Pick RoEx when you need stems mixed or reference matching and you will use Pro more than four times a month. Pick the free route when the beat is already mixed and you want a quick master to send: master the track free with Loopin, where mastering, previews and A/B cost nothing.
Free downloads are capped: one per rolling 24 hours with no account, two with a free account. Loopin Mastering Unlimited is $10 a month or $59 a year (check the pricing page for your region). Neither tool fixes a bad mix; for that, see our roundup of automatic mastering services.
