Online Mastering Price Comparison (October 2026): What Each Service Charges

Read this first: what is in the rows and what is not

Every price below comes from the vendor’s own page or help centre, and is linked. Where a vendor’s pages disagree with each other, or we could not trace a number, the row says check instead of guessing. Prices move and differ by region, so confirm before you pay.

Cost per master is simple: monthly cost divided by masters a month. A tool that is cheap at 2 masters can be expensive at 20, and the other way round. The maths is in the last section.

Row set 1: pay per file

Ditto Music: a free full-length preview, then $5 to download, no subscription, per Ditto’s support article. Cost: 2 masters = $10, 10 = $50, 20 = $100 a month.

Masterchannel (the engine behind Ditto’s tool): its pricing page lists a Professional tier at $19 a month (billed $228 a year) and a Partner tier for studios at $79 a month (billed $948 a year). Check which tier covers unlimited downloads and which downloads the free tier allows, because we could not confirm that detail from the page.

Row set 2: subscriptions

eMastered, per its help centre: $39 a month with no commitment, $19 a month on a 12-month commitment billed monthly, or $156 upfront for the year (about $13 a month). All three have the same features. Cost: monthly plan = $19.50 per master at 2 a month, $3.90 at 10, $1.95 at 20. Upfront plan = $6.50, $1.30, $0.65. The 12-month plan = $9.50, $1.90, $0.95.

LANDR: its own pages show different starting prices for the Studio plans, and a single track is priced separately. Open LANDR’s pricing page and note the plan, the billing period and the download format, since lower tiers can limit WAV.

Row set 3: free or bundled

Loopin: free online mastering, previews and loudness-matched A/B are unlimited and cost $0. Downloads on the free tier are capped at 1 per rolling 24 hours with no account, or 2 with a free account. Loopin Mastering Unlimited is $10 a month or $59 a year (about $4.92 a month); check the pricing page for your region. Cost: $10 plan = $5.00, $1.00, $0.50 per master at 2, 10 and 20 a month; $59 plan = $2.46, $0.49, $0.25.

FL Studio: Image-Line says every licence includes the default mastering reference, with full features through FL Cloud Plus or Pro. BandLab offers free mastering with presets; its membership page lists extra presets, but we could not confirm a download cap, so check it in the app.

Run the maths at your own volume

Multiply your monthly tracks by $5 for pay-per-file, and compare with the flat plans above. At 2 tracks a month, pay-per-file ($10) is hard to beat against $39 monthly. At 10 it is $50, so a flat plan wins. At 20 it is $100, and the cheapest paid plan on this page is under $1 a master.

The free tier changes the maths if you can wait: 2 downloads per rolling 24 hours with a free account covers a 10-track beat tape in 5 days at $0. If a client is waiting today, that is the point where a paid plan earns its fee.

Know what the cheapest row will not do

Cheapest is not a promise of quality. Automatic mastering, from any vendor in this table, cannot fix a muddy mix and takes no creative direction. Use the free A/B on your own track, then master it free and compare with the paid options at matched loudness.

We will update this page in November. If you spot a price that has moved, trust the vendor page over ours. For a longer walk through free versus paid, read free vs paid mastering.
