LANDR Studio Plans Compared: Which Tier Really Gives Unlimited Mastering?
Published · by Loopin
The short answer from LANDR’s own pages: “unlimited” applies to MP3 masters, while WAV masters are capped. Here is what that means per WAV, and who it suits.
Read the word unlimited carefully
At the time of writing (October 2026), LANDR’s pricing page describes LANDR Studio as including unlimited MP3 masters and 36 WAV masters a year. LANDR’s support article states the same allowance as 3 WAV masters a month. So the unlimited part is MP3; the WAV you would deliver to a distributor or a client is capped.
Older articles describe tier names and different allowances, and the page no longer seems to use them. LANDR’s pricing also varies by country and billing term, so the figure you see at checkout is the one that counts. The sales page I checked quotes annual plans from about $11.99 a month; confirm it before you plan around it.
Work out the cost per WAV
If Studio costs about $12 a month on an annual plan, that is around $144 a year for 36 WAV masters, or $4 per WAV if you use all of them. At 12 WAV masters a year it is $12 each; at 3 it is $48 each. The plan only gets cheap if you master a lot of WAVs, and it caps you at 3 a month.
LANDR also sells a single WAV master without a subscription; its single-master page lists $10 at the time of writing. For a release a quarter that is $40 a year, less than the subscription.
Match the plan to your volume
One to three releases a year: pay per master and skip the subscription. A WAV every month: Studio is reasonable if you also use the distribution and samples that come with it. A producer finishing 10 or more WAVs a month will hit the 3-a-month cap in the first week, which means paying extra or switching tools.
That cap is the thing to check if you master for clients. A client EP of six tracks is two months of Studio allowance. If you need to deliver more WAV files, look for a flat plan without a WAV ceiling. Whatever you choose, count your real WAV deliveries over the last three months first; that number decides the plan, not the headline price.
Put the free option in the same table
On Loopin, mastering, previews and loudness-matched A/B are free and unlimited, and downloads are capped on the free tier at one per rolling 24 hours (no account) or two (free account). Loopin Mastering Unlimited is $10 a month or $59 a year (check the pricing page for your region), about $4.92 a month, with no WAV allowance to count. The export is a 16-bit WAV, not 24-bit.
LANDR does things Loopin doesn’t: distribution, samples, a larger toolset and its mastering plugin. If you use them, the maths changes. If all you want is the master, free online mastering is the cheaper test.
Test your own track before you subscribe
Preview the same mix at LANDR and on Loopin. Master the track free, match loudness within 0.5 dB, and listen to kick and bass first, the vocal second, the loudest chorus last. If the LANDR master clearly wins, it earns its price; if not, keep the difference.
Neither tool fixes a poor mix or takes creative direction. For a closer look at the other side of this decision, read is LANDR worth it.
