Is CloudBounce Free? What You Get
Published · by Loopin
CloudBounce isn’t free because it isn’t open: the standalone service shut down on June 30, 2025, and its mastering tech moved into FL Studio. If you just need a finished master today, you can get one free in about a minute.
Stop looking for the upload page
At the time of writing (October 2026), CloudBounce’s own help centre explains that the service closed permanently on June 30, 2025. Image-Line, the company behind FL Studio, kept developing the mastering engine inside its own ecosystem, and existing CloudBounce customers were offered an FL Studio licence and FL Cloud access as a transition. Old bookmarks, tutorials and “CloudBounce free trial” links now lead nowhere useful.
While it ran, the model was simple: you could hear a preview of your master for free, and you paid to download it, either per track or on a subscription. So the honest answer to “was CloudBounce free?” was always “free to listen, paid to keep”. If a site still quotes you a CloudBounce price, it’s out of date.
Pick the replacement that matches how you work
If you make music in FL Studio, the closest thing to CloudBounce is the mastering built into FL Studio and FL Cloud. Image-Line lists FL Cloud as a free tier plus paid Plus and Pro plans, with the fuller AI mastering features on the paid side. Plans change, so check Image-Line’s FL Cloud page for what the free tier includes before you rely on it.
If you don’t use FL Studio, you don’t need to adopt a whole DAW to finish one song. Upload your bounce to Loopin’s free online mastering: no account, no credits, no watermark, and the download is a 16-bit WAV at about −14 LUFS with a −1 dBTP ceiling, which is what streaming services expect.
Compare the free options on the three things that matter
Here’s the short version, at the time of writing. FL Cloud: free tier exists, stronger mastering sits in paid plans, best if you already live in FL Studio. BandLab Mastering: free with an account, four free presets (Universal, Fire, Clarity, Tape), WAV and MP3 downloads; extra presets and an intensity slider need a paid membership. Loopin: free, no sign-up, eight feels, a loudness-matched before/after, WAV download.
The three questions that separate them: do I need an account?, can I hear the result against my original at the same loudness?, and do I get a full-quality file without paying? A tool that answers yes to all three lets you try five versions of a song in ten minutes, which is where most of the value in automatic mastering actually lives.
Run your first master in this order
1) Bounce your mix as a WAV with peaks around −6 to −3 dBFS and no limiter on the master bus. 2) Drop it into the free masterer and start with the default feel. 3) Flip the Original/Mastered A/B, which is loudness-matched, so you’re judging tone rather than volume. 4) Try Punchy (about −11 LUFS) for rap or pop, Club (about −10) for dance, Cinematic (about −16) for scores or quiet songs.
5) Download the one that sounds most like the record in your head, then play it on a phone speaker and in a car before you release. If you’re torn between two feels, pick the less aggressive one; streaming turns loud masters down anyway, and the quieter one usually keeps more punch.
Know when free isn’t the answer
If you’re pressing vinyl, releasing a ten-track album that needs matched levels across songs, or the mix has a problem you can’t hear yourself, a human mastering engineer earns their fee. An automatic master can’t tell you your kick is fighting the bass; an engineer will.
For everything else, the demo, the single, the beat pack, the Suno track you want on Spotify, free automatic mastering clears the bar. Our CloudBounce alternative guide goes deeper on switching if you used to rely on it for a regular release schedule.

Is FL Cloud mastering free?
FL Cloud has a free tier, but at the time of writing the fuller AI mastering features sit in the paid Plus and Pro plans. Check Image-Line's FL Cloud page for the current split before you plan around it.
What is the best free CloudBounce alternative?
If you don't use FL Studio, Loopin's free online mastering needs no account and gives you a WAV at about -14 LUFS with a -1 dBTP ceiling. BandLab also has four free presets if you're happy to sign up.
What loudness should a free master hit?
About -14 LUFS integrated with a true peak no higher than -1 dBTP suits Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Going louder doesn't play back louder, because those platforms turn loud tracks down.
