eMastered Pricing 2026: Monthly, Yearly or Upfront — Which Costs Less?
Published · by Loopin
eMastered has three ways to pay for the same features, and the cheapest one depends on how many months you will actually use it. Here are the break-even numbers, checked against eMastered’s own help centre in October 2026.
Start with the three prices, from the vendor
At the time of writing (October 2026), eMastered’s help centre lists three options with the same features: $39 a month and cancel any time, $19 a month on a 12-month commitment billed monthly, or $156 paid upfront for 12 months. Its own page says plans differ only in how you’re billed.
Third-party comparison sites quote other numbers, some lower, and prices can vary by region. Don’t trust a roundup, including this one, over the live eMastered pricing page at checkout.
Do the break-even maths
$156 upfront is $13 a month over a year. Against $39 monthly, upfront wins from month 5 onward (4 months of monthly is $156). The $19-a-month plan totals $228 over the commitment, so it only beats monthly after about 6 months of use, and costs $72 more than paying upfront.
So the order is clear: need it for 1 to 4 months, pay monthly and cancel; need it all year and can afford it, pay upfront; the 12-month monthly plan is the middle option for people who want the lower rate but not the lump sum. Whichever you choose, set a calendar reminder for the renewal date.
Count your masters, not your months
eMastered plans include unlimited masters, so the question is how many tracks you finish in a year. At $156 upfront, 12 tracks cost $13 each, 36 cost about $4.33 each, and 4 cost $39 each. If you release two or three songs a year, you’re paying a premium for a subscription you barely use.
For client volume, the flat plan makes sense: ten masters a month for 12 months is 120 masters on one fee. Check the help centre for what the download formats and any manual controls include before you commit, as those details are the ones that change.
Price the flat alternative next to it
Loopin Mastering Unlimited is $10 a month or $59 a year (check the pricing page for your region), about $4.92 a month. Mastering, previews and loudness-matched A/B are free and unlimited, with downloads capped on the free tier at one per rolling 24 hours (no account) or two (free account). The export is a 16-bit WAV at about −14 LUFS with a −1 dBTP ceiling.
That’s not the same product. eMastered bundles other tools around its mastering, and you should weigh those if you use them. If you just need masters, free online mastering is the cheaper test, and our eMastered review covers what the subscription includes.
Test before you commit a year
eMastered lets you preview before paying, so use it. Master one real track there and master the same track free on Loopin, then match loudness before you compare. If you can’t hear a difference worth $156, you have your answer.
And never pay upfront for a feature you haven’t used. Automatic mastering, from any vendor, can’t fix a poor mix and takes no creative direction, so a year of subscriptions won’t replace a human engineer for a record that matters. Write the renewal date in your calendar the day you pay, and decide in advance what result would make you cancel, so the choice isn’t made for you by an automatic charge.
